To provide the opportunity for every individual to reach their highest potential by:

WHO’S ELIGIBLE

All CHCC technical programs are open to eligible 11th and 12th graders. Pre-Tech Foundations is open to 10th graders ONLY Agricultural Science is open to 9th - 12th graders; 9th & 10th get preference.

HOW IT WORKS:

Automotive Technology, Construction Technology, Cosmetology, Design & Visual Communications, Forestry & Natural Resources and Medical Careers are multi-period, 2 yr.-programs at CHCC. Students take the morning block the first yr and the afternoon block the 2nd yr.

Pre-Tech Foundations is offered daily during period 4 to 10th graders. This course is highly recommended for students who plan to apply to one of the 2-yr technical programs. Programs have limited enrollment and successful Pre-Tech completers receive placement preference in their Junior year.

Embedded academic credits can be earned upon successful completion of the 2 yr programs.

CAREER COUNSELING: The Guidance Coordinator, Academic Coordinator & program instructors assist students with career exploration and course selection in relation to their interests and future plans. Our goal at CHCC is to have each program completer leave with an understanding of the career options open to them and a well defined plan in place.
